Why a Woman Wears a Veil in the Temple

A personal revelation given upon asking the question: “What is the veil represent worn my women in the temple endowment?”

The veil which the women where in the temple represents their willingness to come to earth and bear children, placing a veil of forgetfulness between their children and their former glory. They are thereby, upon becoming an exalted Mother of all creation, veiled from the world except to those who pierce the veil and ascend to Father. A woman’s role is most sacred. She suffers the pains of death multiple times in each mortality and sacrifices all that her children may live. She is an equal in all things to her husband, but fulfills a perfect part to his role as Father and judge. Together, they fill the measure of their creation.
