A couple nights ago I was listening to some beautiful instrumental music as I pondered upon the Lord – I felt the Lord’s Spirit come over me and wrote the following:
Cleanse my heart – lift me up to the Mighty Throne.
Your love is like a waterfall that shoots up with unspeakable power, your light, your glory!
How can you be so far and yet so close, my friend, my God, my Father.
Is there anything more I can ask that you would not provide?
Please Lord, extend my faith to a place I need to be, to stand upon the mountain of glory, the sea of salvation, the planes of eternity, the City of Eternal Covenant.
I am your son. You are my Father. We are together.
Your children need thee. We can find them and bring them home.
Shower your beautiful gifts upon us, our friends, your servants. That we may find each of your precious lambs and bring them home.
Your arms are wide, your bowels are filled with love.
Give me the patience to endure the wind, the storm, the fire, the tempest.
Bend my sail to the place I must be, to carry them home.
Eternal Father, Amen
When we are bathed in the light, our spirit is given to know what to pray for. In this case, the Lord helped me to express in English what my heart and spirit needed to ask. In such a state we are able to pray with the tongue of angels.
Note: Its not the flowery language that makes it holy, but what lies behind the words as given to us by the Spirit.
Thank you, beautiful prayer! 🙏🙏🙏

One of the reasons I felt like sharing this was that it is not normal for me to pray this way. When I feel the Spirit dictating my words, normally I begin to pray in tongues. It was as if the Lord was showing me what I pray in tongues in English, and it felt exactly right.

Wow! It’s the most beautiful of prayers. Thank you so much. I love it when you share things like this, as it sparks our imagination of things that are possible to do when filled with the spirit.

“Please Lord, extend my faith to a place I need to be, to stand upon the mountain of glory, the sea of salvation, the planes of eternity, the City of Eternal Covenant.”
I love this reminder to petition the Lord to extend our faith, and to do so within the bounds He sets.

“Bend my sail to the place I must be…”
What a beautifully poetic line to describe how it is sometimes when the Lord is moving in our lives and positioning us!

I have read this prayer many a time.
You are right, the words are not as significant as the heartfelt love to our Savior underneath it all.
I have pondered your dedication to helping me/us on this site and other personal communications.
I know it has been a sacrifice for you, and yet I delight as well.
Speaking for myself, you have been a consistent candle of hope to guide me to His saving light! Thank you again and again.
Question: As I yearn to find “His lambs” can you suggest a daily process to do so? Is finding in reality a course of awareness or awakening and not a specific name?
What areas, outside of family are lambs found?
It seems my comments in Sunday school or Quorum class fall flat lately. [The “lambs” are those who are new to the covenant to come unto Christ. Often, they have not yet received the Gift of the Holy Ghost. The Lord said that the Elect hear His voice, and a servant’s duty is to do His Master’s work. Where are the lamb’s found? It can be anywhere and at any time. The real answer is to be in tune with the Spirit and know when to speak and when to hold your speaking. Often, the Lord has a special timing in mind for each person. Remember how Ammon waited for the proper time to teach the king? My prayer was to know when and how to find His lambs. PR]
The Lord has guided me to be more watchful and patient… Please give me your heartfelt thoughts. Thank you!

You have finished your prayer with Heavenly Father Amen, at which point we must pray to Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ or we must pray to Jesus Christ directly.
Thank you [When praying publicly I end in the name of Jesus Christ. When I pray privately I used to end it the same, but now I pray directly to Jesus and end privately by simply saying thank you, I will come again soon, or something like that. When I received the Gift of the Holy Ghost the Spirit told me I was now praying to Jesus, as I was spiritually begotten of HIm, and He is now my Father. “The Father” always has a special relationship with us, but things change after the baptism of fire and Holy Ghost experience. Only by revelation can you know what you need to do specifically. PR]

Your note from a comment above: “When I received the Gift of the Holy Ghost the Spirit told me I was now praying to Jesus, as I was spiritually begotten of HIm, and He is now my Father. “The Father” always has a special relationship with us, but things change after the baptism of fire and Holy Ghost experience.”
I’ve had the experience of praying to Heavenly Father but the person who answers me is Christ.
Is this the natural order of things?
Or is it this way for me because of covenants I have made?
Does Christ always answer the prayers of second estate beings to Heavenly Father?
Thank you for your time! [It is normal to pray to the Father and receive answers through the Holy Spirit. Jesus will often reach out to us this way. All second estate beings, and even higher estates that have not yet arisen will pray to the Father. When we have received the gift of the Holy Ghost the interaction between us and the our Lord Jesus Christ becomes more close than before. PR]
