My Medicine Wheel Experience

This happened to me on a fall day about three years ago. I have never shared this before and you might think I’m a little off my rocker after reading this, but here goes. I planned this to coincide with the Autumn Equinox and thought it was worth a try. At the time I wasn’t that familiar with a medicine wheel; at least the American Indian kind. I felt inspired to go to a place in southern Utah, where I had been many times before, and spend the night where I had built an altar 15 years previously. I had never spent the night there, only the day. I was kind of going after an “Enos experience.” (Here is my post about building the altar) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=948414931841660&set=o.1533295653569304&type=3&theater

Never Did That Before

Before I left I was told to veil the car I was driving. When I arrived I planned to pack my tent and supplies up the mountain, but I was told to not camp at the place where the altar was. This was not my original plan, so I was confused. I asked the Lord what He wanted me to do and I was told to build a circle of stones in a secluded spot at the base of the mountain. I was given very specific instructions. Each stone was just big enough that I could carry for a short distance. They were smooth grey stones, different from most of the red rock around me. I was told to lay one at a certain spot and then about 15 feet away lay the second and then the opposite length until there were four. I sensed they were laid north, south, east and west. Then I laid two stones between each of the four so there was a total of 12 stones. I had no idea what I was doing other than the Voice I was hearing.

The Adversary

As I was close to having the circle completed I was given an intense feeling of anxiety. “Hurry, hurry, hurry, put your gear in the circle, dedicate this spot, NOW!” It was like I was racing to complete it and after it was dedicated I heard a strange wind noise come over the circle, although I noticed no wind movements to the tall grass around me. It was odd and unnerving. I asked the Lord what was going on and I was told not to leave this circle until the sunlight touched my face the following morning. I felt that it was a protection from the Adversary who had surrounded my camp.

The Next Morning

The next morning I waited for the sunlight to come over the ridge. It had been a long night. I had prayed hard and written down many personal revelations. I felt good about ascending the mountain up to where my altar was. I spent most of the morning there pondering about the night before. As I sat on the ground next to the altar I asked the Lord, “How can I know that thou has excepted my sacrifice?” At that moment I had the bageebees scared out of me as a golden eagle suddenly lurched from right above and behind me and swooped down from its perch. It made a loud swoosh noise as it took off and I watched it soar in the sky. I heard two words in my head clearly and with great force say, “Be believing.”

  1. I was prompted to comment about my medicine wheel dream or vision that I received August 28th 2016 so here goes!

I was awoken from a deep sleep in the middle of the night to see the spirit of my second great-grandfather Henry W Laramie standing at the foot of my bed with what looked like a small wheel?! I had no idea what a medicine wheel I was at the time but I felt compelled to draw him and the wheel and ask my closest friends what they thought? They said it looked like a medicine wheel and I prayed to confirm it was some sort of Native American medicine wheel. I researched everything I could on the subject trying to figure out what my ancestor was trying to tell me? I was guided to create a medicine wheel with crystals in my house and say a prayer inside the four directions, I feel that this was for protection and healing!

A year later I was pulled towards a Native American iridology booth and this dream was brought back to my remembrance and both the Native American teacher and myself were filled with the spirit and I knew I needed to take this iridology class which I have long since completed after learning much about healing through Native American techniques comma with music and dance and being prayerful to receive personal revelation about different cultures!

The best book on learning about the medicine wheel I would recommend is titled “The Sacred Tree: Reflections on Native American spirituality”

There is much to be learned through ancestors, Angels, Visions, & personal revelation if we but remove the biases from our heart & open our 3rd eye to the mysteries of the universe! I receive many visions from Christ on a daily basis and they have greatly impacted the big picture and given me greater knowledge and understanding on how I see my past, present, and future! Personal revelation, visions, and many spiritual gifts are so needed now more than ever to spiritually survive what is coming! I’ve seen the events that are about to unfold and I strongly encourage that if anyone can practice receiving these things, as they surround themselves with protection and ask for Yeshua (Christ) to guide them, then he will reveal much if it’s in his will!

Wow I did not realize I would be prompted to say all of this, frankly I’m surprised that no one has commented yet, but I am sure this will not be my last comment because I feel the spirit so strong with this website!

How big was the wheel- diameter wise? [Mine was about 10-12 feet in diameter. PR]
Had you read any indian books with this medicine wheel concept in them to prime your mind for this possibility for divine protection or did it come totally out of left field? [I was vaguely familiar with the term, but didn’t know anything about how Native Americans used it, and still don’t really know that. PR]

If the stones worked there at southern utah, could they work elsewhere like surrounding one’s home? But is there the pre req that the stones, (combined with faith in the Lord), would only work if one is directed to do this? [I don’t know. That is a question for the Lord. PR]

Why were you fearful during the night? Were you fearful? If yes, would that not denote a lack of faith? [I was fearful to leave the circle because I had been commanded not to do that. The sounds I heard were unnerving, but I felt safe. PR]

Lastly, veiling the car- is that done by a prayer? can you do that while driving? Veil it from spirits or from mortals or both? [It was done by prayer to prevent spirits from following. I don’t ever hardly do that, but that day the thought came to my mind and I felt compelled to do it. PR]

Thank you for sharing this experience! I read this for the first time when I found your blog in 2017. In the last month or so I have had it come to mind multiple times, out of the blue. I searched to find it in order to re-read it tonight. I can only guess that the Lord wants this fresh in my mind for some reason.
